Hipperson Consulting Ltd was established in 2018 with a single vision; Support Industry and Government to drive better outcomes for Energy Consumers.
We occupy a unique position in the energy market having an historic proven track record in commercial B2C and B2B activities as well as regulatory governance. Hipperson Consulting provides consultancy services, training, secretariat services and bespoke support services across the energy value chain.
The projects we have both led and supported have been chosen to support our vision of driving better consumer outcomes. These include the inception, design and roll out of a National Revenue Protection Service providing Energy Suppliers with on the ground support to investigate, identify and prevent theft of gas and electricity, making buildings safer and reducing cost. Also, working with Energy Code administrators in Chairing governance meetings and managing strategy sessions to establish future plans to meet the challenge of a changing consumer market.
Since 2018 we have been providing consultancy support to the energy market, enabling an understanding of the risks and rewards that the future regulatory environment provides. Specific focus has been on the Faster Switching Arrangements and Retail Energy Code which will make fundamental changes in the way contracts are switched.
In addition, we have provided support to the energy efficiency market in understanding energy regulation and to ensure gas and electricity consumers are protected and treated fairly, as well as working with the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (OFGEM) and the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to identify ways to provide better energy efficiency opportunities to SMEs across the UK.
As industry experts we provide support to the legal sector in understanding Energy Supplier licence conditions to ensure gas and electricity consumers are protected and treated fairly as well as acting as expert witnesses in Court.
Hipperson Consulting’s varied and detailed knowledge base is now supporting businesses and individuals in their learning and development needs through a wide range of energy related training courses, helping energy professionals continue their professional development.
